Aspyr has announced plans to release its Macintosh conversion of Bioshock Infinite on August 29th. The game is available for pre-order from Aspyr's web site and will be available through download services once it's released.
Bioshock Infinite is the third installment of the popular first-person shooter series developed by Irrational Games and published earlier this year for Windows and console by 2K Games. Bioshock Infinite doesn't share a direct connection with the previous two Bioshock installments, moving the clock back to an alternative history at the turn of the 20th century.
The game puts you in the role of Booker DeWitt - a Pinkerton (a private security agent) sent to the floating city of Columbia to rescue Elizabeth, who's spent most of her life in captivity aboard the giant vessel. Through the course of the game Booker and Elizabeth must fight various factions in the city, and Elizabeth is revealed to have powerful paranormal abilities that can manipulate the very fabric of space and time.
Are you looking forward to Bioshock Infinite's release on the Mac, or have you already played through the game on another platform?
